The school council is made up of 24 Key Stage 2 pupils, a boy and girl from each class, and Mr Huggins in an advisory capacity.  Each September Y3, 4 and 5 classes vote for their class representatives.  Children who were previously Y5 representatives are automatically made Y6 representatives and become the Chairperson, Vice Chair, Secretaries and Treasurers.

The role of the Council is to give the children a say in matters that concern them or their classmates.  We tend to meet about every three weeks to discuss new or ongoing items.
Over recent years the Council has been actively involved in supporting various charities, organising toy sales, redesigning the playgrounds, purchasing play equipment and representing Waterloo School at various Young People’s conferences to name but a few of our activities.
